Okay SO.

I was out running today, and I was like I'm going to go run on the bike trails in Hillandale. I stretched, put about a mile behind me on the old trail, and started to head into the woods. I got maybe half a mile in, and I heard this rustling, and it was really loud, so I was like what the hell? I looked over and saw two black cats, and a gray cat, staring at me. I was like oh hey kitty, and it growled at me. I mean growled. So I was like okay....creepy kitty, and ran away, and they watched me the entire time. Jesus. Now that that was behind me, I went running on the trails. I saw like 10 reasons I should have turned back. Someones jacket ripped and hanging on a tree, some kids screaming (turns out it was a kid and his parents and he skinned his knee) all the bark ripped off this one tree, one of those trees that has the banana shaped seed pods. Every single one laying dead in a circle. But I was just creeped out by the cats. About 5 minutes later (I ran for 45) I heard what I thought was that kid crying again. So I didn't pay any attention. But it kept going. I stopped and waited for the blood to stop pounding in my ears. Meow.....meow.....meow.meow.meow.meow. It started slow, then sounded like 5 or 6 of them. I knew I'd put at least 2 miles between me and them as I 'd run for about 15 minutes. Creepy! I'm heading back. It just kept getting louder, and I figured out the trail I was on, was the one I came in on. So I was like fuck. I hate cats. I'm just gonna run right past them. I whipped around the corner....and they stopped. So I stopped too. They just looked at me, with their little apple shaped heads tilted to the side. I was kind of annoyed so I started to run behind them, and they followed me with their beady little green eyes. I hit the edge of the woods and started on my way to finish the trail. I hadn't taken ten steps and I heard....meow! Meow! Meow! meowmeowmeowmeow! Jesus! Leave me alone. I finished the trail, and started to run home, and still kinda heard it in the distance. Bah. Cats. They're servants of the bloody system.

45 minutes. I'm proud of my self.

I broke another amp cable. Damn. Who wants to go to guitar and amp with me?

So.

It's november. It was the 21st. And it was 70 fucking degrees outside. At least it's down to 40 now. I'm really missing the laptop, because I hate this keyboard, and my typing takes a split second longer to appear so I get thrown off. Whatever. I've decided that an overdriven tube amp is gods gift to the world. Now if I could just add a little umph to that overdrive I'd be set. My copy tubescreamer is too weak. Looking into a Badmonkey? Awful name. Great pedal. Still want that attenuator though.

Camping was camping. I managed to stay inside almost the entire time. I didn't really feel like going out. I got a total of 4 texts, but that's okay cause I didn't have service anyway. I managed to read two books and do damage on a 3rd. Like 600 pages worth.

Dad ordered Harakiri from Netflix a while ago, and we finally got around to watching it. That must be one of the best movies I have ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.

I really should be going to bed. I did my AP questions. I think I'm fucked for this test. I need to go back and read Amsco and Bailey again. Anyway. Bed.

Something New

Something other than states anyway.

In the process of getting over the flu or whatever the heck it is, I've acquired a nasty amount of fluid in my left ear deafening me. Grrreat. I can actually hear now to a degree, but I have a nasty unbalance and some pretty sharp pains in the ear. In othernews, this seems to be one of those days I can't get good tone. I haven't attempted to play guitar because I can't make my amp sound good. Even my acoustic is being a rebel. Whatever, I'm going to Andy's in about an hour anyway. I was listening to the radio this afternoon, and I heard a cover of Mannish Boy by Muddy Waters done by the Rolling Stones. Well....-shudders- Jagger is rather talented at being an...."effeminate....something or other. " I should have written it down. Tueting said something great about him. Anyway. He's great at that. He SUCKS at blues. LOOOOREEEED! Oh god....shut up, your screeching is hurting my ears. NAW WEN I WUZ A YUNG BOI! No mick....no. MY MAMMA SAIIIIEID I'Z GONNA BE....DA GRRRREATEZT MAAIN ALIVVV!
His voice....can't do the blues. Think of a nasally....bat. He didn't the typical phrasings such as "main" for man....but his voice was just.... screechy. But then again, I'd like to hear B.B do thrash. Although he'd probably be better than some of todays bands. CoughslipknotCough. Although Jim is one hell of a guitar player.

Still working on trying to rewire my guitar. I need to go get an old pick guard, and two cheap switches. Then I can try. Two small switches at that. Although some modded strats do look pretty cool....like Erics. Hey if Ben is reading this....what the hell is the attraction of metal players to telecasters. John 5, Jim Root. John's can't even be called a Tele anymore, and Jim's has two freaking EMG's in it. El Hefe.....actually he's kind of punk. But still. A tele? Get a metal guitar. I can't see a bolt on, alder single cut guitar being used for metal...thrash none the less. Harrumph. I guess you can use anything for metal now-a-days. Although Jim said his custom wasn't just for metal. Hmm... it has EMG's in it. Metal? mmm yes. Although...I'd kill for some EMG single coils, because they're amazing.

It sucks that attenuators cost 300$, cause I definitely want one at some point. I figure even if I get one of those bandmasters, or another old fender, or some other low watt amp, it'll still be too loud to crank safely. So why not get.....40 watts and an attenuator? Cause a cheap one costs 300. Blah! I do NEED to get one at some point. Or crawl back to solid state. NEVER!

States Continued

The meet was pretty cold, but our team did amazing and made me pretty upset that I wasn't running. Although I congragulated everyone like a good team mate. Meh whatever.
Earlier in the meet I thought I saw Danika, but I was like nah, can't be her. Then about an hour later someone asked if I was from shakespeare camp, and I was like....yeah? Oh HEY! It's Danika and her mom. Nice to see them. Unfortunately Elena wasn't there. But I texted her, and we got around to talking tonight. It was nice to hear her voice again. She also convinced me to go up and see Thadd and the rest of the SOI kids. Pretty good day overall.

States

This hotel is pretty awesome. I mean it has a computer in the...breakfast area. Lounge? Something like that. The breakfast was pretty good, and the rooms were nice. Better than being eaten by spiders. Last night apparently Bani thought I was gay and didn't want to sleep in the same bed with me because it was against his religion. So Hayden switched with him. Works for me. We had all the seniors though. Probably the best room. This computer says it's 6:25 AM. I feel like something is wrong with the time. My room says 11:25, my watch says 9:25 and the other guys room says 10:27. Come on. Anyway. I'm stalling while I wait for a key. Meh. I should probably go do my homework. Yeah, I'll do that.

I Hate Rushing

My mom woke me up this morning, but I wasn't sure why because I was so tired. But then when she came in again at 8:40 I realized she was trying to get me to go to school. GAH!!! Out of bed!!! Brush teeth! Oh shit I still need to eat breakfast! AH!! Turns out my mom made me breakfast and lunch, which was really useful. But when I actually get up early I eat a lot more. Not complaining mind you. But I was starving, so I looked into my track bag. Ah...Whoppers. From last night. Well, that'll do. So I'm sitting here munching on whoppers, and listening to....Mr. Supko(sp)...trying to do the morning broadcast and failing. Awfully. It took him like 5x as long as Mrs. Reynolds.
We got second in regionals last night, which is great, but I didn't do anything towards that. So I always feel guilty when someone congratulates me. I didn't want to go up for the picture for the trophy either. Really. What have I done this year. I got injured after like the second meet. I've run one good race all year, and that happened to be a JV race where I got a medal. JV is the important part. Both varsity races I've run I've bombed. Grrr. I hate this season. I will have a better season next year, and I will have a good track season.
So. We're going to states. I really don't want to go to states. My season is done. Coach is trying to keep me motivated by saying theres a chance I'll run. No there isn't. There is a chance someone will break their leg. But really. What are the odds. It's a waste of time for me to go to these meets. What did I do, I took pictures, and I took splits which I deleted. Oh and I got yelled at and forced to clean the bus. I don't know. I guess I just want to end the season and heal and go from there. But I have to go now.
