Oh, My God.

Well, the football game today can't really be considered a game. It was closer to a slaughter. I stopped paying attention before the end of the first quarter. I think the final score was 64-6. Oh well, twas fun to talk to Isa and..... -Well I can't think of nickname- AN. Tendonitus, Goldielocks and I, once again, got loads of airheads and ate 'em all. Same old, same old.

Ack, I should be in bed right now. Grizzly specifically said go home right after the game and go to bed. No girls, no wild partys, no beer. I mean damn no wild partys and beer!? Anyway, I just found out that I am running the A race at the Oatlands invite tommrow. Great, here I am all cheery that I was gonna do fine in a J.V race and Grizzly comes along "Oh, Artemis, Jewl isn't running tommrow, you're number seven now." Now I have to fight not to come in last. Well, thats an exaggeration, I'm faster than some of the other teams 2nd and 3rd runners. But still.

~sigh~ Homecommings tommrow night and I still don't want to go. I need to meet up with Jojo at the door tommrow to give her her ticket. What the hell am I going to do for four freaking hours? I wonder if I could sleep.... hmm... probably not.

*****

Heh, my dad printed me off a bunch of buttons he got at work. They are quite amazing.

Here are a few:

"Well aren't we just a ray of fucking sunshine"
"Whoop-De-Fucking- Do"
"Not the brightest crayon in the box now are we?"
"I'm sorry. My fault. I forgot you where an idiot."
"I do whatever the little voices tells me to do."
"For a good time. Call someone else."
'AM I DEAD YET?"
"Even my shrink says it's all your fucking fault."
"
Amazingly enough, I don't give a shit."
"REST ASSURED. No one gives a shit what you think."
"Did you eat a bowl of stupid for breakfast?"
"Please take a number and stick it up your ass."
"Damn right I'm good in bed. I can sleep for days"
"Can't sleep. Clowns will eat me."
"Do I look like a fucking people person"
'Aren't we just the little freak of nature"
"Alchohal was invented so ugly people could get laid too"
"And your bullshit opinion would be?"
"You say I'm a bitch like its a bad thing."
"I'm smiling. That alone should scare you."
"Admitting you're an asshole is the first step."
"I see you're playing stupid again. Looks like your winning too."
"Behind every great woman there is a Whiny Bastard"
"Back to your bridge you evil troll! You have no powers here!"
"Don't make me go pyscho-bitch on your annoying ass"
"Please feel free to shut the fuck up."
"A bit pissy today?"

Heh, those make me smile.

Run Mark!

Practice was at the farm today and, well it wasnt much of a practice. We were supposed to run the course twice but a storm got in the way of that. Right after we finished streatching I looked out to see a HUGE cloud, but it was 6 miles away or so. When we hit the line I turned around and BAM! That cloud was right behind us! It was HUGE! I mean like..... HUGE! I figured well, five minutes and it will be on us. We started running and I turned around and holy god! It was right on top of us! Mark had just started running and when I looked back the cloud was piling over on it self. It was a giant wave of blue black ocean water. We jokingly yelled for Mark to "run" and to "get away from it!"I turned around again and ~flash!~ lightning struck. Well, that was enough for Grizzly. Practice canceled.

That was my excitement for the day.

Oh, and guess what. You people win. I'm going to homecomming. : *************************************************
Over the last week or so there has been one song that I have listened to, on repeat, all the time. I think the fact that I have played it over 300 times warrents an add to my favorite list. Is the suspense killing you? Ah, well, I figured as much. : \ Anyway the song is All Around Me by Flyleaf.

My hands are searching for you
My arms are outstretched towards you
I feel you on my fingertips
My tongue dances behind my lips for you

This fire rising through my being
Burning I'm not used to seeing you

I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

My hands float up above me
And you whisper you love me
And I begin to fade
Into our secret place

The music makes me sway
The angels singing say we are alone with you
I am alone and they are too with you

I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

And so I cry
The light is white
And I see you

I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing

Take my hand
I give it to you
Now you owe me
All I am
You said you would never leave me
I believe you
I believe

I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healed

And for those of you who play guitar and want a tab, I can't seem to find one so leave a comment or talk to me and I'll write you one.

The Universe is Screaming In My Face.

Well, first of all, I got my goal at the meet. I ran a 19:53 but I'm still not satisfied. My splits weren't to good either. I'm pretty sure my first mile was a 6:03 and my second was a 6:04 so that means my last mile must have been a 7:46. Ugh, I really need to work on this negative split thing. I managed to beat Spark, but he was hurting really bad. Bad enough that he was in tears when he crossed the line. That kid could out run me with a broken leg.

After the race finished, we were instructed to run a mile cool down. Well, I did my mile and it was easy. So I figured I'd take a couple of sprints. Why didn't someone one freaking tell me I had that energy left. I ran a mile worth of sprints with no breaks. Damn. I'll have to fix that.

Anyway, in a pathetic attempt to draw people to the meet, our school had tailgating and a raffle for an ipod. Well, it kind of worked, more people came than any previous meet. Anyway, to the raffle. I had decided earlier that I was not going to homecomming and I wouldn't go even if I got a free ticket. Well, I got a free ticket and the universe is screaming in my face to go. I still don't think I want to though. But I figure it would be a waste not to. Hell, even if I just sit around for 4 hours there is going to be free food. But the music is well, all rap as I would guess and the people are, well, all popular or jerks. Fun, fun, fun.

Time for another feedback moment.

Tell me avid reader. Should I go or not.

Shocking Isn' it?

It actually probably isn't very shocking. I have nothing to say of any importance. I have a home meet against......I'm not sure actually. Oh well. Don't come. Homework seems to be comming back in full swing. I have quite a bit of geo to do tonight. If I find anything of importance in it I'll let you know. (Doubtful)
Goal: Break 20 mins.

Take Your Pick.

Black. Or White. Which do you perfer. Leave a coment. I probably don't care what you say, but do it anyway. I want some feedback here.

The Grizzlie's Commin'!

Looks like we'll be finding out if yesterdays post about running rings true. I'm going to say it. I am. This workout SUCKED. I HATED it. It NEEDS to DIE. Enough said. The workout it self was bad. Six miles of Indian runs a fast pace. But to make things worse, Grizzly led our group. Do you have even the slightest comprehension how fast that man can run? Even the slightest?? Every muscle in my body was cramped and on fire. It felt like the gates of Hell. He pushed us the whole time and there were many instances where I could barley put one foot in front of the other. When we finally finished I just collapsed. I didn't want to get up, I never wanted to walk again. I wanted to stay there 'till the end of time and I think I would have if Grizzly hadn't given me a friendly, but firm "get up" and helped me up.

Well, on the bright side. Easy day tomorrow! Oh joy.

Recollection.

I guess Friday and Saturday was my entertainment for the weekend becuase nothing seems to have happened today. School tommrow. Ugh I had forgotten about the monster called school. At least my homeworks done.
*****

At William and Mary on Saturday I looked back on all of my years of XC. I realized that I am one of the few who has run every year since 6th grade. At the moment the others are DV-Scott and Spark. Back at the end of 5th grade I had no idea I would end up running in 6th and sticking with it through all of middle school and so far half of high school. I think what made me want to run XC was when I went to pick Thom up from practice and I saw the team running as was like "hey, I want to do that." Every year since, I've had the living hell beat out of me. Waste of time? No way. I may not enjoy all of the practices at the moment. But looking back, I love every single one.

I guess I stuck with running because it's my way of feeling alive. I love the pain in running an I know it's a good pain. At the moment, I'm afraid of the pain, but that's starting to break. Last year I sought the pain and I paid for it. Now I've made a truce with my body. I deal with it to a certian degree, and I win. It's also a way of escaping everything that is wrong in the world. I've lost track of how many times I've been furious, or sad, or just a jumble of emotions and gone out for a run. When I'm done it's all gone and everything has balanced again.

"There's No Water Pressure. I Swear To God."

I just got back from the William and Mary invitational in Williamsburg VA which was quite amazing. The race was, well, bleh but everything else was great. We left at about 10:30 am on Friday which meant all the runners got out of class which was a perfect start to the day. Goldielocks and I got the back of the bus and we played cards and such for about an hour. It really didn't take very long for us to get bored. Bug stopped us for lunch around half way there. It was a McDonalds I think. Yuck. Goldielocks, Grizzly and I went to the Blimpie across the street. The rest of the bus ride was rather uneventful. Sparker, Mohammad, Goldielocks, Jewl, Jew-Balie, Clopp and Gardenboy played silent football or something and though up all of these horrid punishements for the ones who lost. It was really amusing watching spark play Mr. Commissionermissioner.

Pretty much within a minute of arriving at the course we were out and running. It was nice to have an easy workout that was done after we finished the course. When we finally got to our hotel we were assigned out rooms. I got a room with Gardenboy, A-shroad, Jew-Balie, and Spark. Naturally we all fought for the shower and naturally, I got last. The room was too small to pack 5 guys in. It had two beds and hardly any floor space after we piled all of our stuff. After rushing out of a 4 minute shower I ran to get on the bus to go get dinner at Olive Garden. As it turns out, 3 other teams or so got there right before us so we had a nice little wait. We were finally called in to our relaxing (not) dinner. The second any food hit the table, it was gone. Everything settled once we got our food.

After the dinner Coach took us to a Food Lion/ Rite Aid to get food for the next day if we needed it. Clopp somehow managed to find Halloween costumes that fit him and everyone else. So everyone just had to get them. I didn't need anything so I decided to wait on the bus. But I saw Clopp running around scaring people so I figured I would hide under the seats and scare him. When he finally came running down the lane I grabbed his leg and he screamed louder than anything I have ever heard. He laughed at me and told me to stay there and do it to other people. As it turns out, second time isn't a charm. I tripped Gardenboy and he freaked and started kicking me. Smooth.

Once everyone had got back to the hotel we ran around like the bunch of teenagers we are and scared eachother and pigged out. The girls team brought out a game they had made up at camp and A-shroad tried to get us all to play. I had no idea what it was and walked blindly into it. Hah, well at least it was fun. I'll explain the rules. All the guys count off odd and all the girls even and once thats done everyone sits in a circle boy girl. One person sits in the middle and they call an even and an odd number. Depending on who is even and odd the opposite has to try to kiss the one in the middle on the cheek. The cheek Mother. But the odd number has to defend the person by kissing the attacker on the cheek. The first round didn't go so well. Gardenboy only heard defend so the second Lizzard tried to kiss A-shroad he just shoved her out of the way into a wall. As you might expect everyone laughed and Gardenboy just asked what he had done wrong. After this first mishap though, everything else went fine. We probably played for an hour. It's a surprisingly fun game. Try it some time.

We were finally called to go to bed. I think our room was up till 11:30 or so. Talking about, well, everything. A couple of times Spark "flying tuna'ed" us as he called it and A-shroad did it a couple of times too. Gardenboy turned the air conditioning all the way up figuring it would be hot. Hah, not the case. Jew-Balie took all the blankets off of my side and I froze half the night. We all slept pretty well though. The next morning we went out and got bagels and took out leasiurely showers.

Finally, it was time to go to the race. Since I was one spot off of varsity I was the alternate and ran JV which as it turns out was at 9:00 am. The first race of the day. Ugh, the start was ok but the middle was horrid. Gardenboy and I went out quite fast with a 6:10 mile. But that wasn't fast enough for the course we were running. When we finally hit the woods Gardenboy pulled ahead and got caught inbetween huge packs of people. I had similar difficulties. People just bunched up in front of me and either slow jogged or walked. WALKED! ~Sigh~ my mile dropped to a 7:20. When I finally got out of those God-forsaken woods I took off as fast as my legs would take me, trying to catch back up. John had gotten a substantial lead on me. Probably about 200 meters. The last mile blazed, I moved and moved. When the finish finally came up I slowly started to push my pace and with that small effort on the second of the 4 turns to the finish I caught 16 people. Once I hit the second to last one I took off into a full sprint at Gardenboy. Comming around the final turn I finally got him. I got him! Just barely, he came in 4 seconds behind me.

The people at the chute weren't very compassionate. "Keep running" and "Move! Get out of the way!" What the heck? You go run a 5k and I'm gonna yell at you to keep going. Jesus. Apparentally my time of 19:49 just wasn't enough. I came in 1st out of HHS JV, but I came in 106th for the race. The other races went as well as they could. Our JV girls did as good as they could, Varsity girls got Cathrine in the top 25, Varsity guys got Clopp in something like 15th. Over all the I came in 7th on the team which means I have my varsity spot back.

We raced back to the hotel to take showers before we had to rent the rooms again. With our amazing luck, there was not enough water pressure to get the showers to work. All the guys excapt Goldielocks and I decided that the pool was the best decision for getting clean. ~sigh~ I waited for them to come back in the hall. The girls had the same trouble it seems. I figured they might be the ones who had enough brains to realize swimming in the middle of September wasn't a good idea. But no. "Oh! Lets go get in the pool!" I heard one of them say. Oh god. I am surrounded by xc runners. Yeah, I got drafted. I jumped in the pool. In the middle of September. It would have been great, except the water looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Ah well.

The bus ride back wasn't so entertaining. I had a head ache and it was too hot in the back. I'm actually still flushed and hot 3 hours later. I managed to sleep in a bus seat for a little while. When Goldielocks woke me up we had stopped for dinner at a small shopping center. Goldielocks and I went to this Chinese resturant which was very good. But trying to eat it on the bus wasn't the best idea. The rest of the ride home was rather subdued. People talked and played some cards. But over all it was the end of a long two days. I managed to drift off to dream world while still being conscious with my eyes open. I was just stairing out the window and was letting my thoughts drift. Suddenly about an hour later I "woke up." It was an odd feeling. We got back and carried the tent and coolers inside and such.

And now, here I am. Catching up with my life.

It was a good weekend. Xc team, you guys are amazing.

Hell Yes!

Oh Hell Yes! I'm going to William and Mary in 8th place! WOOOOOOOO! I sure got my fight though. Gardenboy raced me the whole last mile. I managed to out sprint him but I couldn't have made a time like I did without him. I ran a 19:44. 19:44! That's almost a minute and a half faster than my last race. Oh yeah! Thanks Gardenboy!

Grizzly, like always, wanted us to run negative splits and I'm pretty sure Goldielocks and I were the only ones to run close to it. Negative splits are when each mile drops in time. I ran a 6:10, 6:00, and a 7:34. Goldielocks ran a 6:10, 5:57, and a 7:2?. We went out at what we though was a rather slow pace and saw that our first mile was 20 seconds faster than we wanted. Man that was a fast course.

I'm pretty sure the line up for William and Mary is: Clopp, A-shroad, NKB, Mohammad, Goldielocks, Jewl, Spark, Me, Gardenboy and Emo.

Oh, this is gonna be amazing! I get to leave at 10:30 on Friday. That means no english, no drivers ed, and no geometry. AH-HAH! I love it! 4 and a half hours on a charter bus to Williamsburg with my xc friends, my ipod and my book. Nice hotel, Olive Garden, a bunch of weirdos. YES!

On the other hand, I'm sick to my stomach, everything aches and I want to throw up.

Heh, oh well. I'm going to William and Mary!

Well.

Well I guess I have something to say now. Tommrow is the meet that decidesWilliam and Mary. I want to say I've got it, but hey, anything can happen. All I need to do is keep my 20 second lead on the Mann-boy and I'll be fine. You know? I think I can break my fear this race. This is the race the decides if I reach my goal or not. Hopefully that will give me the boost I need to win my spot.

I still don't regret asking for and getting this fight. It's what I want. Ah well. Wish me luck.

Tis a Sad Day. But, There is Hope

For the first time ever I seriously contemplated ending a workout early and doing less than required. I'm not obsessive about XC, but I always finish even if I need a little friendly persuasion from Goldielocks. After running that "Butt Hill" 6 times I was done. Tired. Out. But, I needed to do 8. Usually when I hit that point I say and maybe believe I don't want to do another but I always do. Today, I even walked part of my rest time. Yes, I did get 8 but ack, I sure didn't hit my times. That left a bad feeling, like after eating something foul and no matter how hard you try to wash it away the taste still lingers. I plan to make this up in the next workout. No, I will make this up.
*****
Anyway, school sucks as usual. Currentally I'm ignoring my test corrections for the test I just got a 78 on. Other than that I have no homework seeing as Barr wasn't here today. Drivers ed sucks as everyone from previous years have told me. Geometry is, well, geometry for those of you in my class. What am I forgetting? Oh, yeah. Art. I just found out, I'm not a visual artist. I may be a muscian but that, in no respect translates to drawing and painting and such.
*****

Next week the highs are supposed to drop to the 60's. Thats my kidna weather. This is my season as well. Apple cider, XC, Musical, colorful leaves, Halloween, snow, the Solstice, and the most amazing skys ever.

Ah, the sky.

I could go on and on about a winter, and the sky. When everything has a white/gray hue and everything seems to tingle with energy yet it's still. Walking through a forest, sheets of snow crash to the ground, branchs snap and everything is alive. And the cold, yes the cold. It makes me feel alive. Every part of my body tingles in the morning air, all of my senses are heightened and I feel mortal, I feel....everything. For the first time in almost a year I woke up shaking in my blankets. That must be one of the most amazing sensations.

After I'm out of the shower in the morning I choose clothing that barely covers me let alone warms me. I'm usually scolded for this by people who don't understand. I'm threatened even to start wearing long pants and a sweatshirt. But I need to feel that nip in the air. I need to feel alive again.

~Sigh~ It's almost here

Ok, look at this picture. Look what's in the background. Download this picture and zoom on that speck. I don't believe in witches and people riding on brooms but if witches were real, thats what they would look like. Will someone please tell me what it is. Sure looks like a witch to me. Ugh.Tell me I'm stupid and its something obvious.

Oh. By the way. I never said how my tri-meet went. It was decent. I dropped 10 seconds but I was beat by my rival and Gardenboy also beat me. We had a 10 person pack for the first mile which for you people who know nothing about running is beyond amazing. I dropped from 7th on the team to 9th. Normally 8 go to William and Mary so I was worried but now Grizzlys decided to take 10. Woooo! That means I'm going to William and Mary.

This Just In

I just added some more pictures to my post "Afeared." If you've never seen me want to win a race a suggest you look at them. The guy in purple is my new rival. Currentally I've beat him once and he's beat me once. The one I'm running beside is my neighbor and running buddy.

Ooo... Eww...

Well, I can't say my writing skills are very good. But looking back at my first post -which I fixed a little bit- I cringed. I hate the way I worded it. ****Hah there I go again. Hate.**** I guess I'm just throwing these things out here because I can't sleep. I rarely can sleep well nowadays. I ususally have nightmares, or just can't sleep, period. ****Whats the point of reiterating that?**** I guess once I finally get to sleep I'll have a nightmare, wake up in a huff, and finally go back to a dreamless sleep and not wake up till noon.

You know what? This quote is what started all of my thinking. Well, what led me to the blog which led to the thinking.

"We like the sky when it is purple white and grey and we know how to look at the world pounding through a forest at faster than most people choose to when it's colder than should be allowed."

Wow huh?

I mean it this time. Bed. Night. Bye. Sleep well. If any of you read this. I'm serious now.

Changes...

It's amazing how much people can change over years, one year, even a month. I was reading through the archives of a blog that dated back to 04. Shes changed so much. But at the same time, not at all. It makes me wonder.... who/what decides what changes.
****
Why do they change in the first place.
****
Who chooses what stays the same.
****
Why do things stay the same.
****
How come each of her years seems similar to how I felt.
****
No, more than similar. What makes people the way they are.
****
What makes one decide one way or another.
****
Whats an emotion. Hate? Love?
****
Whats wrong with me.
****
Why the hell is this keeping me up.
****
Why did I feel a need to add hell to that.
****
Why are all these thoughts hitting me now.

Do I have problems.

H Vs. SD

Well. This game wasn't even fair. I actually sat down and stopped watching after the first 3 touch downs. We scored our first 6 seconds in. They kicked, we took it and got a touch down. They gave up shortly after. Not a fair game at all. Not entertaining either. At least there were pleanty of people to talk to. Goldie locks, Tendonitus and I had a good time. We got tons of airheads, tried to get into the middle of the crowd, threw bottles at this stupid screaming kid and all around acted like a bunch of kids should.

Nicknames.

Wow, everyone seems to want a nickname now. The funny thing is half of them are mocking. Well not really mocking but a lot of them are just things that stood out about people. Grizzly, Goldielocks, Gardenboy and such. Ah well, I guess I should make one for anyone who I talk about instead of just using initials.

Anyway, I just got two new cd's and I have listened to them on repeat ever since. Number one: Stadium Arcadium, Red Hot Chili Peppers. I never thought I would ever listen to them but then I heard Dani California and Snow (Hey-oh) and decided to get Stadium. Great Choice. I love their style of music that mainly uses a clean stratocaster with quick riffs and odd chords. 4.5/5. Number 2: Flyleaf, Flyleaf. Wow, this CD is powerful. The lead singer is female which is rare nowadays and she is amazing. The best way to describe her is how Jojo did. A voice like Christina Agulara, but she can scream like Ozzy or any other metal head. 4.5/5 also. Very, very good.

Well, I got my fight and I lost. By a whopping 4 seconds. Ah well, I asked for it and it's really what I wanted. But to go as no.8 I would need to get overkill on Gardenboy since he's a captian and a year older than me. Meh.

Afeared.

Well, I ran varsity. I'm not mad about how I did. Just.....not satisfied. Over all, I did very well. But it's not enough for me. I'm afraid to run. I'm afraid of the pain. I didn't used to be. That's why I ran so well. But now I'm afraid. I went out with a 6:05 mile split. I was afraid I was going too fast so I limited my self. When it finally hit me that I felt nothing we had a mile left. I ran fast that last mile, but not enough for my self. I passed 5 people on the final 3/4's of a mile and I came across in 21:24. 30 seconds slower than my best. I got 7th on the team, 5th place in varsity and I came in 84 out of 200ish for the varsity guys race. I'm still the 7th varsity but I beat the 5th and 6th varsity runners. J-man caught me at the two mile marker but I eventually ran him out and I caught up to the Mann-boy with about half a mile to go. In the JV race Jule wore my old spikes and came in 8th place with a time of 20:?? and PW came soon after with a 20:53. Both of them beat my time so they got on varsity kicking the Man-boy and J-man off. I managed to hang on the no.7. But when NKB starts running again I'm going to have to beat PW. Sadly, I think PW's done though. His knees have been giving him problems and he ran hard today. His loss is very sadly, my gain.

We'll find out Wednesday what I can do. Unless I'm sill afraid.

Varsity.

I was blowing off steam last night. I didn't want to run varsity and I didn't want it handed to me. I was sure I wasn't going to be runnin varsity on Saturday. Guess what. By my time, I'm varsity. I don't know whether to scream and jump with joy. Or to cower in a corner. My heart's racing, my bloods cold, my adrenaline is pumping. I need to sleep, I need to relax.

Epiphone

Hah! To all you people who have made fun of me calling Epiphone "Epif-pho-knee" I was right. Look it up. It's not "epi-phone" it's "Epif-pho-knee!"

I don't want it this way!

I don't want it this way! No! I refuse to run like this. DF dropped out because of his knee, RP quit because he's him, PW woon't be running on that knee unless he never wants to run again, QS is out too. Gues what!? That means I'm Varsity! Yay huh? NO! I don't want varsity unless I win it. Theres nothing in it for me if I'm varsity by default. AHHHH! Saturday, at The Farm I'm running JV, and if I don't get the time I would have needed for varsity I'm going to ask if I can stay JV. Have the next fastest take Varsity.

How sweet it would be to WIN a spot at William and Mary and WIN a spot on Varsity. But no. Right now it's being handed to me because I'm the next on the list who can run. Hey, hopefully I'm not running where I think I am. Hopefully I'll be beat by some of the people I'm beating. Just so I can fight for it. Win it. If someone else wants to win varsity as bad as me or wants it more, I say fight me for it! I'd rather lose and not make it, trying as hard as I can then have it handed to me.

You don't no white space? You don't get no white space. Fool.

Man, I'm still sick. In fact its getting worse. I'm losing weight, I can't sleep anymore, and i barely realize I'm alive in the mornings. I was the one who never scuffed his feet and alwyas walked with his head up, eyes straight ahead. No more. I'm not sure I could pick up my feet. As for my head, meh, I'd rather people not see me like this.

Flynns out of xc now. That sucks more than you can imagine. He was my next goal, he was what I was pushing to beat. Now, he's gone. The next runner is varsity. Hah, fat chance kid. Our first race is at The Farm on Saturday. Hah, great, I hate that course. Anyway.

I just started and finished an english project that could have been done a week ago. I should think I would have learned by now. At least my mom helped me. Hell, I got to relive a lot of nice memories and learn more about my brother. Ya know? This is the second time in 3 weeks homework has been useful. What's the world comming to.

I've got the sniffles....

Crap. I've got the "sniffles" as Justin called it when we ran last. It sucks. I spent 49$ of class by the trash can blowing my nose and the other 51% either freezing, or on fire. You have no idea how bad lemonade and orange juice burn a sore throat. Seriously, it hurts crap! Ah well.... Today, I managed to get my passion for XC back. I was thinking "I'm just gonna sit there at practice watching everyone work." But nope. Bair made me try to run. I love him for it.

We ended the distance part of our season and now we're entering intervals. He called out what we should be expecting to finish the intervals in. I knew mine would be absurdly slow seeing as I ran a crap time trial. Sure enough. 1:55 to run 400 meters. I figured since I was sick I should just go with it. Hah! I went at what I thought was a slow pace, fast enough for a 2:00 400 but slow. "...1:29, 1:30, 1:31, 1:32, 1:33 Z! "Holy God!" I thought as I crossed the line. "I was relaxing!"

I figured it was just because it was the first loop that I ran so fast and that I would slow down. "Alright Gentlemen, Le's go!" called Bair. I went out at what I thought was a little slower maybe the same and once again crossed the line in 1:33. Exactally the same time as last. To the second. I was so pleased with my self, but was afraid still, that I might slow down.

Three intervals later I was running exactally 1:33. Still to the second. In this workout the top group (varsity) was supposed to run 7 or 8 of these intervals and the lower group (JV) 5 or 6. I decided that on my 6th interval I would decide to go on or not. Finishing the 6th I was content to stop but Andy scoffed at me " What!? You've done 6, why not finish it off?" Well that settled it. I decided I was going to run the next ones all out.

Both of those intervals I was tired but I still came across in 1:34 and the last one 1:35. I had to know what running like that in a race would do to my time. Bair figured that I would be running anywhere from 18:00-18:45.

YES!! That was my goal for the end of the season, to run somewhere in the 18's. I'm so happy with my position in xc i could fly with joy.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

What's more. I have no known homework tonight. Yes. Just yes.

Finally

Finally! A halfway decent day. It rained. All day! I love the rain. Well school sucked as usual and the football game was canceled. BUT! We ran practice at The Farm in gale force winds in the pelting rain with nothing but our running shorts and sleeveless shirts. I love it. We are the toughest team here.

Well, I'm sitting here, watching the rain, listening to Three Days Grace, completely content.

Yes.....
