Blah

Really...really....really tired. I still can't go to bed early, even though I'm getting up at 7. I figure I'll get tired enough sooner or later. Been doing a lot of recording, but I'm still failing at getting good acoustic tone with that mic. I'm really wanting a condenser mic, but I don't have 40-50 to throw around, and that would be for a cheap one. I get a guitar lesson bright and early at 8:00 on Monday morning. At least I'll have my amp fixed by then, and I won't have to use the low jack. Hmmm, thanks to that breakfast on monday, I'll have all of my AP points. But now I've got to go review my economics. Joy. Edit: Nevermind, I'd rather blog for now. "Economics is the science that studies how people make decisions about scarce resources to meet their wants and needs. Economics is all about choices." It'll be nice to take the sem. 1 exam, because it's EASY.

Musical is going well, for now. I won't have to deal with NJP until tuesday. Although I'd actually rather have her I think. Maybe? I'm starting to get a sore throat, so a break would be nice. Nipe has a concert coming up, but I think he's just playing Plague Dog stuff, which I like, just not as much as his stuff. He might throw a Karl Rove cover or two in, but still. It might be worth going...except it's on Tuesday. Well it's obviously worth going, it's a live concert. But it might not be worth losing the sleep and homework time.

I still really want to play violin better, but I get so aggravated I can't play anymore. It's so much harder than piano and guitar. Grrr.... I guess it's impressive I can sound out the october songs, and transpose them to piano, and write them out, from a violin. But I still want to be able to play.

It's January First

And I'm tired as hell. I've been slowly eating a way at my Historiography of Slaves, and I have to really concentrate, or I don't get ANYTHING out of it. Last night was rather fun, unlike last year, when it rained....all fucking night long. I got to see Rachel and Sean for the first time since earlier this summer, and Camila and William for the first time in god knows how long. Andy and I saw a really good classic rock cover band called Royal Blue or something, anyway, they were impressive.

Uhhh....the fireworks were not very impressive this year...

Saw Mark and AJ earlier in the day, and we went out and around. Taught AJ some things about guitar. Like all the cool noises of an electric guitar come from the amp. Then she thought that made you not a guitar player, if all the sound came from the amp. But there's the fact that all the sound comes from the player, through the guitar, into the amp. But whatever.

Blah. I'm really just trying to waste time, because my mom is sleeping, so I can't play guitar, and I don't want to do homework. I'd sleep too, but I know I wouldn't wake up anytime soon. Bah! I'll go surf ze interwebz.

I just woke up after sleeping for a good three hours, and if my arm hadn't gone numb, I'd still be sleeping. I haven't finished my AP yet, but I should have time to do that tomorrow morning. If Sara and Amanda and Mat don't distract me.
I went out to Hometown music and got some new Martin Silk wrapped strings. I don't think I'll ever go back th straight bronze, unless I get a second acoustic. Then they'd be like light elixers.

Anyway. I'm going to bed, or to read, or to maybe take a shot at writing the rest of my notes.

I haven't really had anything going on. First musical practice was wednesday, and I've got another one tomorrow. I just got the new sights for my 92, but I don't get to shoot it for a while : ( Although Dad is going out and shooting it tomorrow without me. Grr! I have a forensics invite on saturday that I hope will be iced out, because really, we've been getting slaughtered in 2 rounds, I'm not sure I like the idea of 4. AP is kind of annoying me. I'm great for the first 10 pages of notes, the next five are annoying, and those last 2-5 are really hard because I just want to get it over with. You can tell how my patience wanes by looking at my notes. The handwriting starts off very clear and nice, then gets sloppy, then is all over the fucking page.

I feel like I've been getting worse at playing guitar. My tone keeps getting worse, and I'm getting sloppy. It's really starting to annoy me. I'm trying to go back and work on technique but it doesn't really seem to be working. Blah, hopefully it's just an off couple of weeks. It's almost time for my guitar lesson though, so I'm going to have to wrap this up methinks. Hmmm I get m actual license on the 28th, which will be nice. Saw the Golden Compass on....god. Last friday.... No sunday. It was pretty good, they messed up a few plot things, but no where near as bad as Eragon. 20 minutes till my lesson, 5 till I should go get my guitar and stuff. Meh, I'll have wet hair tonight, that's always annoying.

Last performance of Romeo and Juliet was absolutely, drop dead, fucking amazing. I've seen it something like 10 or 11 times now, and this was by far the best. I got to talk to Greg for a little while after, and Susan too. I miss living in Staunton. But seeing as I have gotten inadequate sleep for the past 2 days, and I fell asleep on my AP books last night, I think I should go to bed.

Saturday Night?

What? It's saturday night? God this weekend has gone by fast. Friday was an awesome party, and Andy and Keegan ended up staying the night. Right after Andy Keegan and I got sluprees, I went a raked the yard, and went straight to Jake's. We proceeded to play 8 straight hours of DnD with Karl, Scott, and Russ. It was pretty amazing. But it took us like half an hour just to decide to go through a door.

Homework now. And Crossroads concert. Night.
