The Wall

Todays meet went...better than planned I guess. I'm still not satisfied. At all. I feel like crap actually. I put everything into that race, although I could have done more in the last mile, and my body aches all over to prove it. But for what? I got a 21:24. Grrr.... That makes me 9th on the team behind Bryant, Dan, Keith, Andy, Hayden, Bani, Parker, and Kyle. I guess the fact that it was 95 degrees out didn't really help. I ran a 6:02 first mile, and my second was something along the lines of that, but my third must have been really slow. I still managed to place 16th out of the "developmental" race. What the hell is developmental? That sounds like an insult more than anything. When I finished, it was so hot it felt like the oxygen was like...evaporating out of my lungs, and I couldn't get enough air, and my head started hurting really bad. For a second I couldn't see, and then I fell into some shade, and the effects diminished....somewhat. Anyway, it sucked. The girls team did really good, with two of their freshmen coming in like...top 25. Maria -my forensics parter- got something like 18. In the varsity race. Jesus.

Musings of a Bored Zach

Damn...I hate this keyboard. But hey, I'm on lesson 7 out of 10 on economy. Yeah... I know, I slowed down. I'm only doing 1 per day now. They still haven't graded any of my tests, and I don't have access to the midterm -which is 3 lessons behind me- because they haven't graded any of my tests. And as of right now, I am incapable of logging in. It's rather annoying. I guess the site is just messed up. The whole thing is really slow. So...today is picture day. Ewww. I hate picture day. I hate pictures actually, and I hate people taking pictures of me. Jesus, the login page still hasn't loaded.

Did I write about XC yesterday? I don't think I did, but I'm too lazy to go and check. XC sucked. It made me hate running. We had to run up that beast of a hill 5 times minimum and 9 max. I was hurting after 3 and dead at 5. When I walked up to coach he was like "did you do 6?"
"what are you crazy? no. 5"

"Go do one more."

"what?!"

"one more"

Grrr.... I turned around and threw all my energy at the hill. Yeah. That lasted about 10 second out of 80. By the time I hit the top my muscles were all going "fuck you brain you get down here and work!" and it was all like"Just 10 more meters!" That was unpleasant. When I got to the top just ahead of Jubilee my muscles were all shaking and complaining -they actually didn't stop till I went to bed-. And Bair told us to run down, get a drink, and meet him at the hill. Oh hell no I thought, he isn't that crazy....is he? I was feeling slightly relieved when we got out. Not strides....but hey...hey wait....we're walking towards that hill. Hey stop we're getting too close. Hey wait a second lets talk about this.
'Bair...hey coach....we're getting uh...we're getting a little close to that hill." Dan said
"I'm here to prove a point" Bair said

"You don't need to prove a point, we got it!' said Dan

"Now we're going to run about a third of the way up this hill, 2 times, and the first time, you're going to run with your head down, and your arms behind your back, and the second with your arms pumping and your head up."

It took all of the no longer remaining energy in my muscles to push my self up the hill, especially with the handicap of my arms behind my back and my ead down. I hit the top -well...the middle rather- and just had to tell my self one more. I didn't even feel that last one, I just did it. When we were all grouped at the top, coach told us to just take a cool down lap around the school.
"that's more than I can do" I muttered under my breath. I stood at the top -the middle rather- of the hill just trying to find the energy somewhere in my body. Bair came up to me, and was like "hey you look done for the day."

"hah... I was done a long time ago." I replied, and he laughed

"that's good enough for now, go in and stretch, and if you're aching go to the trainer and whirlpool."

I didn't even have the energy to go to the trainer, I just called my mom, and laid down on his floor.

That's my story. We're running at the farm today. Hopefully we'll just run the course because that's easy. GAH!! I still can't log in! Come on. Humph... I have APUS today. At least that's a good class. I have...3 good classes and one bad. Algebra is bad. Grrr... But AP and event production, and economy are good. Well, as good as school gets that is. So I just got my picture taken, and I look so stoned. It's amusing. She wouldn't take the picture till I smiled, but I can't smile, so she made me hold that fake smile, and on three I just dropped it. Look just like I do every year. Stoic. And stoned. I've given up on Economy for now. I think I'm just going to read...or something to amuse my self. Today is wednesday....so I have forensics practice tomorrow....and I also have event production. Oh yeah...I planned that one. So I can actually eat lunch.

I like this tomb. I'm actually going to keep that typo. I like this room. Mainly because it's empty. Well except for Andrew, but he doesn't count. No one ever walks in here, or disturbs me, or anything. It's great. Except when I start towards Algebra. It drives me crazy having to fight through the crowds of people. Too bad next semester will be like a normal year. Latin, Chemistry, English, and AP/Event. Hmm...know what else is good about this room? These computers...except they keyboard. They are staff computers...so none of the crap restrictions you get on student ones. You can even access some of the banned websites. Some.

Anyway, I'm going to go read.

Good Day

Hah kind of strange when you think about it. Good day. Thats a rare occurrence on a school day. First block was amazing, cause guess what. I don't have one! Hahaha suckers. Second block I actually got some work done. Gasp. It's so easy that I can't stay motivated. Algebra II is so boring, and I'm surrounded by morons, but it didn't really make any impact on my day. Heh, event production makes me happy. While the whole rest of the class was stuck doing book work, Andrew and I got to do drama work, like move shelves and boxes and stuff. It sounds boring, but we find it amusing. Us theater geeks.

Anyway, I got my forensics partner today. Looks like it's going to be really good. Maria is really nice to work with, and I could see Walton twiddling his fingers in excitement. It's this skit about a crazy guy who meets this famous actress in hollywood and is really annoying. And she finally flips out on him, and he gets all sad, and it's sickening how pathetic it is. Fun stuff. First rehearsal is thursday.

Mmm

Jack White has awful tone live.

Thought I'd point that out. But he's an amazing performer. I forgot to post so...I'm failing at making up for it. I've been writing more songs recently. Styled more like System of a Down mixed with the white stripes first album of heavier stuff.

Yeah...not sure what else. Been playing lots of music, and reading.

We Won

Again. Although just barely. We're bound to lose sometime this year.

Xc time trail sucked. I ran a 23:12.... although last year I did like a 28:30...so that's not bad. I'm still 9th on the team. That means William and Mary. Wooo and I was sick. So I'm hoping it'll get better.

You know? I love driving around with Andy.

Not So Bad Eh?

It only took me two hours to do all my Algebra and most of my APUS work for the next 4 days. I still need to finish the geography thing, and post that....research thing once Tueting gets back to me. You know that's really not so bad. Although it's probably the easiest we'll have it all year, I'm done for now.

So, I burned my self making jello, and now I feel like an idiot. Hot water spilled all over my arm when I was pouring it into the bowl. Grrr...it's all inflamed and angry now. Figures, I wouldn't like being submerged in hot water. Anyway, I'm going to go try and eat my jello, because that's why I made it, and bask in the glory of having my homework done.

No Time

Once again, I have no time to post because my internet is about to shut off, but I think I'll just save this and continue later.

I had quite the ordeal this morning with guidance and economy. I went to class first thing, and they told me I wasn't on their roster, and to go to guidance. Unfortunately, guidance refused to make schedule changes for the first 2 days of school. So they sent me away. I went back to BSA and they said they couldn't do anything for me, so dejectedly I walked back and explained what had happened to the lady guarding the door, and she asked me to go get a schedule from outside the library where they issue replacements. I laughed as soon as I got it. 2nd block 1'st semester "guidance" I thought to my self no way in hell can they turn me down now. Before she even opened her mouth, I held out my schedule and she laughed and quickly slipped inside to ask if I could come in. After a few minutes she slipped me in and asked me to wait. I finally was called into Mr. Meyers office, and all he did was give me the website, password, and my username, and told me to go to the lab in guidance. Now how east was that? Jesus...come on. I'm not really complaining though.

Online economy is so easy, it's like a joke. I had 30 minutes of my 90 minute block remaining, so I figured I'd try and start. I opened the first lesson, and while talking to Lizzy and DeVier-Scott
I managed to finish my reading and take a quiz. And just a few minutes ago I finished section 2 which they say is the longest while IMing two people, talking on the phone (although only briefly) and listening to heavy metal. Joke joke joke. But you know what. I actually am learning something, and at least I'll be done soon. Anyway, I can't post this...so bed time.

Bored

So....I'm sitting in the guidance office waiting for my online class to validate. Although Lizzy is here and we're talking and that's good. I've had to run around all freaking morning, between guidance and BSA.

Humph!

Today was supposed to be a nice and easy 7 miles. Nice and easy, I was hanging back. Prefering not to put my self in pain, when Grizz ran up behind and was like why are holding back Fichter? So I decided to run with him. Frickin' idiot. He said he's going to run with me on the time trial too. : p
Anyway...I feel better than I would have expected. And I got to call Nat for the second night in a row. Yay.

My internet shuts off at 11:00, so that's why this is so short.

Stressful

It's really really stressful driving to Charlottesville. Grr.... and I hate the interstate too. Aaanyway. I told my self I was going to wake up at 7 and I actually managed to wake up at 7, although I couldn't fall asleep till around 1, so I felt like shit for about an hour. I walked up to Mr. J's and right as I walked in the door, the cook who I love so very much, asked "bacon and egg?" yep I replied, and before I'd even paid it was sitting there ready for me. Gotta love it when you get the same thing every day, makes life so much easier. I sat around in Panera reading my books while mom got her hair cut. It was supposed to be my hair cut, but my hair looks like shit for a week after it's cut, and since this is the night before school, I decided against getting it cut. I don't really believe school starts tomorrow. I kind of want to walk in, and have Mrs. R go Hah! It's a joke you don't have to come. But I know that won't happen. I think I should go early the first day...even though I have late arrival. Maybe I could get a head start on my...economy? Hah. Not.

I have practice in about half an hour, and I'm really dreading it. I don't like XC. Blasphemy I know. But still....I'm feeling pretty bad. I can barely run a few miles on a hot day. Actually I'll bet I could run more slower. And no that's not bad grammar....although it probably is. Run more distance at a slower pace. But I always want to run with Andy because it's fun, but he's fast, so that rules out anything more than like 2 miles. I love how it took me half an hour to run 3 miles on thursday....with breaks. That was absolutely pathetic. Then again the heat index was like 105, and the humidity must have been like 200%. I swear I was swimming.

I wish I had a mental changer for my ipod. It's really annoying having to change it in the car. I guess that's why they make playlists. But I'll have to make so many of them that it defeats the purpose. I guess that's why they make this wonderful thing called the radio. You have no choice but to listen....or turn it off. I'll bet I could tape a...a......remote to my hand. They made those for PSP why not ipod. Or tape it to the steering wheel. Hah....I don't think dad would like that. That's actually a good idea. I'll check amazon! I like how when I was doing random article on wikihow I came across something about defeating your myspace addiction, and the first step was admitting you had a problem. I don't know... it made me laugh. Hey they do make remotes. For like 30 freaking dollars. Grrr.... oooh there's an 11 dollar one. Too bad I don't have 11 laying around.

I'm trying really hard to post everyday...but a lot of stuff I put on here is completely pointless. Then again, has it ever had a point? Need it have a point? Fuck no. I wonder if I'm addicted to facebook.... I doubt it. I sure was at camp though. I was always like must do lines.....wait! Email! Facebook! Cause email and facebook are connected and such. I'm going to start labeling every post...just because I feel like it. Okay...I'm going to go to practice now.

Afternoon,

Done!

I finally finished reorganizing/redecorating my room. So I have a desk now..... pretty much. I've wanted a desk for a long time, and now I have one. I was supposed to go to the rifle range today, but when my dad came in to wake me up, I was like fuck this I'm tired. I'm going back to bed. So I slept till about 12 again. I didn't really have much to do because the computers were acting up so I went down and was looking for a movie to watch. Getting to the very end of the list I came to The Omen. Ahahahaha I heard that movie was awful. I don't think it was awful... I just don't think it was very good. At all. It managed to creep me out a little. A little. The end made me laugh actually, I think it was supposed to chill you though. Right after that finished Underworld II came on. I love those movies...except for the freaking gore. I understand where the blood comes from. I mean they're vampires...but it's a little too much for me.

Right now I'm actually watching the Nightmare Before Christmas. I rarely watch TV...but I've been lucky recently. I actually haven't played much guitar since I ordered the pick ups. Those strat ones are so weak it annoys me, and I put new strings on my PRS which means it'll be like a week before it sounds good again. But I am planning on recording an acoustic song I've had in my mind since camp. I wish I could bloody sing. That would be so useful. Anyway, time to go record.

Hey, Come Back

So I stopped posting at camp. Sorry, but now I'm posting again, so all of you can come back. Anyway....this has been a weird day. I woke up at 1:50. I've never done that...ever except, apparently when I was 6 and I slept 36 hours straight. Well anyway, I've felt like shit all day. Well more like 3rd grade dog food left out on a hot summer day. Other than that I really haven't done anything today, except learn a bunch of Nipe's songs. Shit...it's already 8 o' clock. I feel like I just woke up, well I did, but that's not the point.

There was a really nice thunderstorm today though. The dog was flipping out, but we finally got her to go away. The thunder was crashing, and the rain was slashing the windows. Mmm I love thunderstorms. I didn't manage to get a run in though. Whoops.

I'm going to go eat lunch though.

First Game of The Season

How come our first game of the season is the Friday before school starts...that's really annoying. We won anyway, and it was a glorious game, but I never do seem to get excited. I don't think that's a bad thing, but I specifically remember Kevin yelling at all the "emo" kids in the back to cheer and have a "fucking great time." I like how he looked right at me. -By the way, this is going to be a sporadic post.- No one recognized me at the football game. Probably because I was wearing a hat, jeans and a tight shirt. I've never worn that around school people before.

I got new guitar strings today, and a new pair of jeans. I don't really like jeans, but I felt like I wanted some, and they're pretty nice... I like them, but they're really tight. Then again, that's how jeans kind of are. I hate JMU traffic. Those people seriously can't drive at all, and they're all reckless. Thank god I have good reflexes though. Only a little over a month until I can drive now. Yay! That will be so useful.

I have so much crap under my finger nails, it's driving me up a wall. But I need them long for finger picking. I have to resist the urge every so often to rip them off.

It's Been A Day

My lesson was pretty good as usual. I learned quite a bit about my amp, and guitars, and more about soloing. XC was absolutely awful. I got heat exhaustion again, or maybe just dehydration. Anyway... I just ordered my self a new set of pickups, I'm pretty excited.
